“I am not interested in the technique of photography or of camera. I am not interested in light. What I want is light in which the subject is free to move in any way without falling into an ugly light. So that I can get to them, to the expression they make, so that they are free to do or express something which is the way I feel.” Richard Avedon”—
hey thanks for the quick reply.
ur right about choosing the right models. rumor has it, everyone talks about how russian girls are incredibly beautiful. I've never come across any though.(I've never been there, the ones I witnessed were always the trashy tourists, maybe thats why...)
Aliona is just perfect!Too bad she is not a model! how did u convince her to pose for you then? and how come you couldn't convince her to pose for more:)
I never try to convince people to ‘pose’ for me, i always insist.
I wouldn’t waste my time trying to ’convince’ Aliona or anyone else to do something they had no conviction in.
I'm pretty sure this picture has been shot by you:
Could you confirm that? If I'm right, is it possible to tell more about this model?
Thanks in advance, bye.
Her name is Esther, she lives in Moscow. she was around 18 at the time of shooting. Esther’s mother was Italian and her father Jewish. I plan to shoot her again when I arrive in Russia next week.
